New Year's Eve

A lot has happened since New Year's Eve... but 2007 started in an unbelievable way in Hong Kong. First, Erwin arrived on December 30, which was fantastic. He was here just in time, because New Year's Eve is also our anniversary. Upfront, undoubtably, the best part about New Year's this year was spending it with Erwin!

For the actual New Year celebration, a Erwin and I and an great group of AIESEC interns and friends hiked to the top of Shek O mountain, begining at about 10:00pm. We were supposed to start earlier, but we held up the group with a little McDonald's break (yes it was McDonalds... not what the rest of you are thinking). Anyways, it turned out to all be for the best because we arrived on the very windy peak of Shek O mountain right at 12:00am! We popped the champagne, lit the spaklers, and had a great party, free of all the Hong Kong crowds.

Other highlight of the night, we lost half the group part way up the mountain... and we found each other by yelling "Hey AIESEC" at the top of our lungs and seeing if the other group could hear us : )
